During the year your gutters collect lots of leaves, moss, twigs and little things that birds drop as they fly over. These all then gather in the down pipe and eventually block it up!

These filters are designed to pop into the top of your down pipe to stop these large pieces falling into the pipe and causing blockages. They are made from black plastic and can be quickly and easily installed, they just sit inside the neck of the pipe. 

They will need to be taken out and cleaned throughout the year but this isn't such a bad job to do if it prevents the whole pipe from blocking and causing undue bills for this clearing or replacing.
