This variety produces large, dark green tasty sprouts and the harvest yields autumn to Christmas. Brussels Sprout 'Groninger' is a second early variety noted for its great tasting sprouts, particularly after the first frost. It produces medium sized green sprouts and gives a steady supply of great tasting sprouts.

Indoor Planting
Sow seeds 1.5cm deep in trays of moist compost, be careful not to over water. Store in a warm location at an approx temperature of 16 degrees and plant in a desired location in May-June.
Outdoor Planting
Sow seeds 1.5cm deep direct in growing bed. Keep the soil moist and be careful not to over water. When large enough to handle, the seedings should have 2-3 leaves, thin to 18'' (45cm) apart. Pick the sprouts from the bottom of the plants first. Keep well watered in dry conditions and be careful when wedding as their roots are easily damaged.
